Incoming students may be offered a scholarship or other awards from SCAD based on academic excellence or co-curricular achievements.
Some of these achievements include but bot limited to leadership qualities, volunteer work, community service or involvement, and artistic accomplishment.
Scholarships are available to U.S. and non-U.S. citizens. Students who wish to be considered for achievement scholarships may be asked to provide additional materials as part of their application requirements.
NOTE: Applicants may be required to provide a provable evidence that they need financial assistance as indicated by FAFSA.
Frances Larkin Mccommon Scholarship Recipients may accept additional scholarships and awards from other sources, as well as additional forms of financial aid, if qualified.

Frances Larkin Mccommon Scholarship Graduate Level Requirements
1. SCAD Honors
Basic eligibility requirement:
Must demonstrate outstanding academic and/or artistic achievement; GRE scores of 163 or higher on the verbal section, 157 or higher on the quantitative section, and 5 or higher on the analytical writing section; a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale; or presentation of outstanding portfolio, audition, or writing submission, and above-average grades and test scores.
2. Graduate Fellowship
Basic eligibility requirement:
To be considered for a Graduate Fellowship, applicants must present a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.3 (on a four-point scale), and must submit a superior-quality portfolio and statement of purpose.
3. Dean’s Fellowship
Basic eligibility requirement:
To be considered for a Dean’s Fellowship, applicants must present a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a four-point scale), and must submit a superior-quality portfolio and statement of purpose.
4. Student Opportunity Scholarship

Frances Larkin Mccommon Quarterly and annual scholarship awards
Most undergraduate scholarships are offered to degree-seeking students. These scholarships can be renewed and applied quarterly through completion of a bachelor’s degree (or up to 225 attempted hours) provided that the student remains enrolled, and contributing positively to the university community, and maintains a GPA of at least 3.0.
Recipients may qualify for more than one scholarship and may receive a combined total up to the cost of tuition.
Graduate Awards
Graduate awards are offered to degree-seeking students and are renewed and applied quarterly until completion of a graduate degree at SCAD, as long as the recipient remains law abiding and enrolled at SCAD, contributing positively to the university community, and maintains a GPA average of at least 3.25.
Frances Larkin Mccommon Scholarship and Accommodation
SCAD Frances Larkin Mccommon Scholarship scholarship offers for undergraduates vary according to whether students reside in SCAD housing.
A scholarship recipient who initially agreed to live in the school campus but later moves out of the SCAD residence hall at any time, is considered to be reducing the on-campus award amount and accepting the off-campus award.
This simply implies that the student has reduced the scholarship award to 70% of the on-campus award amount. These students must therefore resolve any charges incurred with the SCAD student accounts office.
NOTE: Graduate award recipients are not required to reside in SCAD housing.

How to Apply For Frances Larkin Mccommon Scholarship
Applicants should visit SCAD Freshman Scholarship Page Select your enrollment type and apply.
SCAD is committed to the pursuit of excellence professionalsm. They welcomes applicants who have high standards.
The application takes about 20 minutes to complete and requires a nonrefundable US$100 application fee.
Applications are accepted at any time throughout the year.
There are no deadlines to apply; although, students are encouraged to apply at least six months in advance to allow time to arrange for financial aid, and no later than 30 days prior to the start of their first quarter.
Admission results normally take between two and four weeks.
